Life right now - Mommy Niq
Niq and I go way back. From after work nights out in Greenbelt (or Xaymaca) which then moved to Singapore when we both landed jobs in the same company! We got married to our beloved partners along the way and had children who adored each other. Which was why it was hard to part ways when they moved to Australia. Thank God for technology where we can update ourselves with each other’s lives and what Korean dramas we’re currently hooked on. We booked a flight to finally visit them this school break- but covid-19 happened and all our camping plans are now indefinitely postponed. I asked this Mama to share her thoughts on life lately…
Life is a fleeting gift that can change in a heartbeat.
A pandemic induced realization that rocked me to my core and reframed my mindset.
As a full time working Mom, to endure the crunch, there is no other way but to see it as an opportunity rather than a challenge.
An opportunity to pause on all the wordly pursuits and build up on things/people that really matter.
An opportunity to spend time "being" rather than "doing."
An opportunity to listen with your heart....An opportunity to just be - present.
Our lock down days were spent making memories....
learning, discovering, playing, creating, {EATING} and a lot of togetherness.
The 'No pressure - All we have is now' approach to homeschooling and chores kept our days sweet and the tribe sane and happy.
Old school ways of learning and teaching (crafting, baking, and all sorts of fun diys) made a comeback and still proven effective.
During bad days, we nature walked our way to sanity.
Slow nature walks to refresh the mind and the spirit - and our doggie happy.
Not long ago, a friend asked me a question - "How do you do it? (How do you juggle life?)
With a grateful heart and a strong faith.
